Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide safe, clean, reliable and affordable school bus transportation for families within the five boroughs.  We are parents, so we understand how difficult it can be to put the safety of your children in someone else’s hands.  We take that responsibility and your trust in us very seriously and are committed to providing excellent customer service. At its heart, Green Apple is an electric school bus company. Diesel busses are not our first choice. However, current regulatory and financial barriers to entry into the school bus market require us to take this initial step using diesel school buses.   In three years, we will be able to offer families the option of all electric school bus service.

Better Customer Service:

We pride ourselves on providing the better customer experience on the market. As parents and advocates we have dealt with many school bus companies and communication with parents is a constant issue. We will remedy this with a call center that is responsive and staffed by multilingual employees and technology that will allow parents to track the school bus and their child in real time.

All-Electric Fleet:

Although we are forced to start with diesel school buses to be cost competitive, we are committed to starting our transition to an all-electric school buses in no more than 3 years.
We will explore all financing opportunities available to us to make the transition quickly without requiring parents to pay a premium.

    Sign up with us and receive $200 off for each referral who signs up with us before July 15. The person you refer will also receive a $200 credit.

  • Full After-School Service

    Although there is a lot of uncertainty about what the next school year will look like, we are committed to ensuring that all our riders will have a bus to and from school each day. We will provide after-school service for 9th period, SGI, Clubs and Sports activities.

  • Conveniently Located Bus Routes

    We will create our bus stops that are as close as possible to your home. We guarantee that no bus pick-up or drop-off will be more than two blocks away. Email us and we will let you know where your stop will be.

  • Best Refund and Cancellation Policies

    We are parents and are facing the same uncertainties regarding the upcoming school year. We have the best refund/credit and cancellation policies and will work with you as the school year progresses to ensure our mutual best interest. If we cannot provide you with service you will get a full refund.

    We are parents who have had to deal with poor customer service from a bus company and that is part of our motivation to start Green Apple. We are committed to serving our customers with professionalism and courtesy.

  • Safe & Clean Transportation

    School buses have been shown to be one of the safest forms of ground transportation. We will enforce a strict code of conduct and safety standards on the bus. It’s unclear whether the MTA will be able to address the current uptick in violent crime in the subway system to ensure the safety of your children. Our buses will be cleaned daily and deep cleaned each week.

  • Our Drivers are Safe and Experienced

    We employ union drivers with decades of experience and have passed background checks. All are COVID-tested and fully vaccinated. All our drivers will be monitored by us with GPS to ensure their driving meets our high standards.

  • GPS Tracking and Parent Notification Software

    We provide a parent notification app with GPS tracking and push notifications when your child gets on and off the bus. We always know where our buses are and so should you.

  • Only School Bus Company Committed to Electrification

    Our care for our riders does not just end at bringing them to school and home safely on the bus. We are committed to transitioning our fleet of buses to all-electric vehicles as soon as possible to protect our riders and the surrounding communities from air pollution.
